Emily Marquis

Briefly describe your experience and education.

I received my B.S. in Communication Disorders from Sacred Heart University in 2023 with a minor in psychology, and I recently received my M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from Northeastern University in May 2025. I had the opportunity to intern at Miracle Farm Speech Therapy for the Camp Runamuck summer program and complete one of my clinical practicums here as a graduate student clinician. I grew so much as a person and clinician because of these experiences at MFST, and I knew that I wanted to continue my journey here as a clinical fellow! I was also able to gain other valuable knowledge and hands-on experiences with a variety of populations and settings throughout my college career.

Why do you love speech therapy?

I love speech therapy because I love knowing that I am able to make a difference in someone’s life every single day. I love working with kids, and it is so rewarding when I can help them to reach their communication goals in a creative, fun environment.

What are your passions outside of work?

I love spending time with my family and friends, playing with my puppy, reading, taking walks outside, and exploring new places in Boston like restaurants or bookstores!

What are three words someone would use to describe you?

Loving, passionate, thoughtful

If you could be any animal, what would it be?

I would be a dog because they always make you feel so happy and loved!

What is your guilty pleasure?

Rewatching my favorite shows and the mini peanut butter cups from Trader Joe’s!
