Olivia Dube
Briefly describe your experience and education.
When I was sixteen years old I went to a job fair at my school and one of the fields of work being talked about was speech language pathology. I fell in love with the field and knew then that I wanted to become an SLP! I graduated from Assumption University with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Human services and Rehabilitation studies with a concentration in communication sciences and disorders. After getting my bachelors in May of 2022, I obtained my masters at Regis College by May of 2024. During my time at Regis I was able to do placements with pediatric settings both in schools and at private practices. I have been able to work with children with ASD, apraxia of speech and AAC devices. After finishing up my M.S. degree I wanted to find a job in the Northshore area that allowed me to continue to work with children. I am thrilled to join the Miracle Farm team and be able to work with all of these amazing coworkers and make a difference out there for all the children I get to work with.
Why do you love speech therapy?
I knew that I have always wanted to work with children and working in speech therapy helps me achieve that dream. Being able to work with kids is always fun for me and I am thrilled to be doing it with speech therapy. This field is so diverse with different ideas that it really makes therapy new and exciting. I hope that by learning at MFST I will be able to take some new ideas and bring it towards my work and help make learning fun for these kids.
What are your passions outside of work?
