Describe your experience and education

I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2021 with a B.S. in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences and with a minor in Psychology. I then continued my education at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Knoxville, TN where I received my M.S. in Speech Language Pathology in August 2023. I am very passionate about working with children of varying ages and ability levels. I enjoy using a play based approach to therapy and seeing the positive results it has on a child’s development. My clinical interests include ASD, Apraxia, AAC, and language disorders.

Why do you love speech therapy?

I have always believed that everyone deserves a voice, and speech therapy allows me to help kids find theirs! Communication is unique to every individual and it is so exciting to see a child learn their most effective way to communicate. I think it is important to make therapy as engaging and motivating for the child, so I love getting creative and centering lessons around a child’s interests. This helps me get to know the child more and develop a strong relationship with them. I believe in the importance of creating close relationships with the children and their families in order to have the most successful therapy.
